Rhododendron Dwarf Oban
Rhododendron Dwarf Oban. Named for the Rhododendron Conference which was held in Oban in 1996. Produces Bright deep pink flowers on a spreading compact dwarf plant. Blooms in abundance in April. Needs sunny position. Height 30-50 cm. Ideal for border plantings.

Plant in moist acidic well drained soil. Full sun, hardy. Provide a deep winter mulch for added protection.
General Rhododendron Planting and care
- Water the pot thoroughly and allow to drain fully.
- Dig a hole twice the size of the pot being planted and fork over the base. Adding a bucketful of planting compost.
- Remove the pot, if the Rhododendron is well rooted cut off the pot.
- Ensure that the top of the Root ball is level with the surrounding soil.
- Replace the remaining soil and heel in, water the Rhododendron and area thoroughly
- Water regular until Rhododendron is established.
- Apply some general fertiliser every spring.
